Blake Angliss will be returning for a second season in the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup this year in partnership with Rosland Capital and Century Motorsport.
After showing an encouraging mix of pace and potential in his debut campaign last year, the Coventry based racer is determined to build on everything he learnt and challenge for silverware this season behind the wheel of his 355bhp Ginetta G55 GT4.
2021 provided a steep learning curve for Angliss as he stepped up to the GT4 SuperCup for his first full season of car racing. The talented teenager made great progress across the campaign and fought his way into the podium battle at points as he recorded regular top ten finishes.
Angliss now has a crucial year of experience under his belt, having learnt the car and the circuits on the calendar, as well as developing his skills behind the wheel. He’s ready to utilise the knowledge gained and hit the ground running in one of the top proving grounds for budding professional GT drivers.
The Transend UK, Haigh Group and Splodge Hygiene supported driver will continue to compete on the highest profile race package in the UK, alongside the British Touring Car Championship, with races televised live on ITV4 through the season. He’ll do so with Century Motorsport, one of the most successful teams in Ginetta history.
Angliss retains the backing of Rosland Gold Racing for 2022, the motorsport division of leading gold specialists Rosland Capital. He’ll once again pilot one of two eye-catching gold, black and white liveried Ginetta’s on the grid, with Angliss joined by Century team-mate James Kellett.
Blake Angliss: “I’m very excited to be able to confirm my 2022 race plans and to be returning to the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup this season. I’m looking forward to working with Century Motorsport for another season and building on a very positive first season last year.
“After assessing some different options for this season, we concluded that consistency with championship, car and team would provide me with the best opportunity to improve my skills as a driver and take a step forward this year.
“Thank you to Rosland Capital and my other loyal sponsors for their continued support this season. I’m proud to be working with each of them and hopefully we will enjoy plenty of success together this year.”
Nathan Freke, Century Motorsport Team Owner: “It’s great to welcome Blake back to Century Motorsport again. He had some real moments of brilliance last year and being his second season in the car, we have very high hopes of fighting for the G55 championship with him.”
The Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is one of the leading one-make GT championships in the UK. Racing alongside the British Touring Car Championship, the series will be contested across seven race weekends at the best circuits in the country, with races televised live through the year on ITV4.
