Brea Angliss Teams With Breakell Racing For Ginetta Junior Campaign

Brea Angliss has joined Ginetta title-winning team Breakell Racing for the remainder of her debut season in the Ginetta Junior Championship, starting next weekend at Donington Park (27/28 May).

Angliss is contesting her first full-season of car-racing this year and enjoyed an encouraging start in the Oulton Park opener, scoring a brilliant top ten finish in the first race, however she had a tough outing at Silverstone last time out with some reliability issues outside of her control.

The decision has been made to move teams to give the 15-year-old the best opportunity to maximise her track time this season and develop as a driver. Following positive discussions with the team, it’s felt Breakell Racing will be a great environment for the young talent to thrive.

The hugely experienced Lancashire based team have established themselves as a leading team in the Ginetta paddock in recent years, scoring a stunning overall race victory and the ‘G56 Am’ drivers’ title in the GT4 SuperCup last season alongside race wins in the GT Academy.

The team, who also compete in top-level GT4 and prototype racing, previously raced in the Ginetta Junior Championship back in 2021 and scored a rookie class podium finish and a number of overall top ten finishes with a first-year driver.

Angliss, who races with the support of Transend, Haigh Engineering, Empire RV and Filtered, is ready to go racing again next weekend for three races on the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit, before the eagerly-anticipated Ginetta Festival event at Silverstone a week later (02-04 June).

Brea Angliss: “It’s not the easiest decision to move teams during a season, but after some frustrations over the opening two events, we feel it’s the best way forward. Breakell Racing have enjoyed some great results with Ginetta in recent years so I’m confident they’ll give me a quick race car, and I’m looking forward to working with them.”

James Breakell - Team Principal:“We’re really happy to be welcoming Brea [Angliss] into the Breakell Racing family. We hope to be able to support her in the early stages of her career, as we have done with other young drivers in the past, and look forward to a successful season together.”
