Xentek Motorsport And Conner Garlick Set For Second Ginetta GT Championship Campaign

Xentek Motorsport are targeting a title challenge in the 2024 Ginetta GT Championship as race-winner Conner Garlick returns for his second season in the series.

The exciting news means that the South Yorkshire team will be running not one but two Garlick’s on the grid this year, as Conner joins his younger brother Luke who is stepping up as the reigning Ginetta GT5 Challenge champion.

While the brothers raced on the same grid last year in different classes, this will be the first time they compete against each other in equal machinery - ensuring there’s sure to be some friendly sibling rivalry across the campaign.

Conner enters his fifth consecutive season of Ginetta racing with Xentek Motorsport aiming to build on an impressive 2023 campaign. In his EU Tags-backed Ginetta G56 GT Pro, he scored a memorable maiden win at Donington Park back in May.

The former GT5 Challenge and GT4 SuperCup racer added three more podium finishes across the campaign and is now firmly targeting consistent top three results across the seven-event 2024 season.

Christopher Richards – Team Principal: “We’re delighted to be continuing our long-standing partnership with Conner this year, and we’re confident that he can build on his impressive performances in 2023 and be a consistent front-running force in the championship this year.

“Having both Conner and Luke on the grid together this year is fantastic and we’re looking forward to seeing how they’ll shape up against each other. Both of them have shown great pace in testing, so we’re counting down the days to the season opener on Easter weekend to see how they get on.”

Conner Garlick: “I am really pleased to be back with Xentek Motorsport for another season of Ginetta racing. The GT Championship was a great challenge for us last year and I feel it’s given us a good platform to build on and challenge for regular silverware this season.”
