Xentek Motorsport are welcoming hugely-popular YouTube star Jimmy Broadbent to the team for his Ginetta GT Championship debut this weekend at Snetterton (13/14 July).
Broadbent has built up a huge global online following over the past 12 years, with his gaming videos and infectious personality attracting over 900,000 YouTube subscribers. His sim-racing talents have brought him huge success too, including winning the iRacing Le Mans 24 Hours and Indianapolis 500.
The 33-year-old made his ‘real-life' racing debut in the British Endurance Championship in 2021 and went on to win the Praga Cup drivers’ title the following season. Competing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife for the first-time last year, he recently secured a class podium finish in the 2024 Nürburgring 24 Hours in a BMW M4 GT4.
Broadbent’s legions of fans are sure to be following his progress this weekend as he races a Ginetta G56 GT Pro for the first time. He’ll be part of a three-car entry for Xentek Motorsport, alongside race-winning siblings Luke and Conner Garlick, for the three races at Snetterton.
Sarah-Jayne McKenna – Team Manager: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Jimmy Broadbent to the team for his Ginetta debut. He’s a great personality and many of our team have enjoyed watching his content over the years. He’s done some great things on track in recent seasons and could well spring some surprises this weekend at Snetterton.”
Jimmy Broadbent: “I'm incredibly excited to get the chance to drive with Ginetta. I've been a fan of their cars for years, so I'm very much looking forward to racing one myself!”
The opening Ginetta GT Championship race at Snetterton is scheduled to start at 13:20 on Saturday, before two more races follow on Sunday at 09:05 and 14:25. All three will be streamed live online via Ginetta’s official YouTube channel.
